This project forms part of a 200 strong national roll out of tenancies as part of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). The completed fit out comprised a modern, open-plan design with clear demarcation between front of house public space and back of house staff areas on the ground floor and secure staff area on level 5. All areas of the tenancy are fully compliant to AS1428.1 in regards to disabled access with a strong emphasis on achieving and maintaining Zone 2 security compliance to the entire tenancy.
The design is simple yet elegant with plenty of open space and modern features. All workstations and interview desks feature electronic sit to stand functionality.
Scope of work included demolition and strip out of old tenancy. New works included, floor coverings, ceilings, partitions, joinery, workstations, operable walls, Hydraulic services, Electrical and Data services, Mechanical Services, Wet and dry fire alterations and Security Services.
Challenges on a project like this include works within a live environment with a fully occupied office tower. The ground level was split over both sides of the building main entry lobby creating difficulties with movement of personnel and materials. Ceiling heights of 3.6m also presented challenges on the Ground floor.
