Scope:Fitout of a Heritage Listed building that was previously a laboratory, including the creation of a mezzanine floor, installation of two kitchens, floor refurbishment, and workstations. Challenges: Following x-rays of the floor, it was found that the ground underneath was very unstable due to previous construction. Holes were dug between 3m and 10m deep so that screw peers could be installed to hold up the mezzanine floor. All of this work had to be carried out in line with Heritage Listed building restrictions. The completed project has been nominated for design awards.
